BBMRI-ERIC EOSC Catalogue user manual
This catalogue is a machine-harvesting metadata source for EOSC discovery. The Service Catalogue describes BBMRI-ERIC services; the Research Product Catalogue exposes reviewed research-product metadata for harvesting.

Service Catalogue queries
Send an anonymous GET request to /services. the optional keyword parameter performs a case-insensitive search; when omitted, no keyword filter is applied. Pagination and ordering use from, quantity, order, and sort. Their defaults are from=0, quantity=10, order=asc, and sort=name.
Research Product Catalogue harvesting
The OAI-PMH base path is /oai and accepts GET and POST requests. Supported verbs are Identify, ListMetadataFormats, ListSets, ListIdentifiers, ListRecords, and GetRecord. Supported metadata formats are oai_dc and oai_openaire. Version 1 has no set hierarchy, so ListSets returns noSetHierarchy.
Form-encoded POST requests admit at most 16,384 raw bytes inclusive and 32 decoded fields within a 10-second total body-read deadline. Malformed forms return HTTP 400, body-read timeouts return HTTP 408, and oversized bodies return HTTP 413. These are empty, connection-closing transport responses; OAI-PMH protocol errors remain XML responses.
Access and registration boundaries
Catalogue metadata does not itself grant access to a listed Service, dataset, samples, or sensitive data. Applicable access continues through the described Service, Directory, and Negotiator workflows.
This manual does not assert EOSC registration, onboarding, or provider acceptance. It provides no submission form and does not change catalogue or application state.
